The integration of mind and body fitness in spa menus has created a need for massage that incorporates true wellness techniques. Pat Lam, a CIDESCO Gold Medal Winner for stress therapy has developed an exciting and unique massage for the spa professional utilizing the breathing techniques and stretching poses of yoga combined with a mini workout for both the client and therapist. This improves the client’s posture, blood circulation, mobility, flexibility and muscle tone. Combined with specific massage techniques from various disciplines such as shiatsu, Thai massage, meridian therapy as well as her award winning stress therapy massage, the client is taught how to manage and control stress. The antiaging effect of this massage is total relaxation of mind and body, but unlike the lethargic effects of a typical massage, the client experiences revitalization of both mind and body as well as sense of renewed energy and mental alertness. This interactive massage works with specific rhythmic music and simultaneously provides and active workout for both client and therapist. The innovative antiaging stress massage can be performed by therapists in salons, spas and clinics, and can bring a fresh, revitalizing and exciting experience to the esthetic professional.
