Peter T. Pugliese, MD, is a biomedical consultant to the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Pugliese received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. His major research interest in normal skin physiology and the mechanisms of aging are what led him to write his best-selling books. In addition to Physiology of the Skin II, Pugliese is the author of Advanced Professional Skin Care: Medical Edition. He is a frequent speaker at professional esthetic and dermatology events, and has contributed hundreds of articles to industry publications.
